From the first-ever newly opened Horticulture Hub in Hastings and a new Taranaki store opening mid-2025, at Farmlands we’re growing Horticulture.
Our Technical Advisors use their horticultural knowledge and expertise to build trusted relationships and recommend best solutions to our shareholders. Spending their days on the road visiting growers across the region, our team of Technical Advisors provide a vital service as the face of Farmlands - so we need people who believe in what we do and the service we have been providing for more than 60 years.
The role has a strong focus on account management and maintaining relationships with shareholders from many backgrounds. You will be the face of Farmlands to many shareholders that spend their time on the farm - so we need someone who believes in what we do and the service we have been providing for more than 60 years.
This role will be based in Te Puna or Tauranga.

Ideally you'll be familiar with the horticultural environment, have relevant and broad industry experience and be confident providing technical advice - you could make the difference to someone's very livelihood. A strong focus on sales and relationship building, excellent communication skills and impeccable time management are critical to your success in this role.
What you bring to the business:
- Proven sales management
- You'll bring a depth & breadth of Horticulture experience, so we know that our clients are in good hands
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to establish and build effective working relationships
- Relevant tertiary qualification in business, horticulture or similar discipline, or equivalent work experience would be an advantage
