Your Candidate Journey
We'll review your application against position requirements.
We assess your application based on position requirements and desirable work experience, skills and knowledge, as well as whether you have the right to work in New Zealand.
We also consider your applications against the calibre of total applicants for the role.
We either progress you to a phone call or you will receive a 'next time' email.
We'll have a chat to discuss your background and interest in the role.
Our phone calls generally last between 15 and 25 minutes depending on the role.
After our phone call we'll decide who to interview based on strongest alignment to the position.
We'll meet you online or in person to get to know you better.
We conduct behavioural interviews based around the role and our Farmlands Everyday Leadership Behaviours.
For certain positions, we may ask you to complete additional assessments prior to second interview.
This may include an online psychometric assessment for example. If an assessment is required our Talent Acquisition Team will let you know.
For many positions, we'll meet you a second time.
This may include a task or presentation or time with the team for certain roles. If this is the case our Talent Acquisition Team will brief you prior.
We complete reference checks.
We'll request details of two referees. These should be from your most recent managers.
We make a conditional offer.
We offer the position to the candidate we feel is the best fit for the role and our business needs.
All offers are conditional upon satisfactory pre-employment checks.
We conduct a range of pre-employment checks.
These include:
- ACC background check
- NZTA licence check
- Ministry of Justice check
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand check
For certain roles we may also require:
- Drug and Alcohol Testing
- Credit check and AML/CFT/PEP check
After completing all remaining checks, we commence your onboarding.
Your manager will commence planning your induction and first day at Farmlands. They will be in touch with you prior to confirm the details.
