Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity

We're looking for a hands-on and people-focused Team Leader to lead production operations at our Whanganui SealesWinslow Mill. Reporting to the Production Manager, you’ll be responsible for leading a team to ensure the safe, efficient, and consistent delivery of our animal feed products. This is a key leadership role working 90 hours per fortnight where you'll drive team engagement, maintain quality standards, and optimise plant performance while keeping health and safety front of mind.

This is your chance to step into a leadership position within a critical part of Farmlands' supply chain. You'll coach and develop your team, coordinate maintenance activities, ensure compliance with SOPs and product quality controls, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. Your ability to lead from the front, communicate clearly, and foster a culture of performance and accountability will set you up for success in this role.

Mōhou ake | About you

You’re an experienced and practical leader with a strong background in manufacturing or feed mill operations. With at least 3 years in a leadership role, you know how to bring out the best in your team - balancing production targets with a safety-first mindset. You’re proactive, adaptable, and confident working in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. You're someone who leads by example, communicates clearly, and takes pride in delivering high-quality results through your team. Experience with Feedsafe NZ, a current OSH Forklift Certificate, and a strong understanding of production systems and KPIs will be a bonus.
