Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
This is a newly created role with real scope to shape how Farmlands delivers customer-centric order fulfilment. As our Customer Order Processing Manager, you’ll lead a large, diverse team and establish the rhythms, processes, and culture that drive seamless, accurate, and efficient order management.
You’ll be at the centre of our move toward centralised order processing, working across multiple product sets and systems — including D365 — to deliver end-to-end fulfilment. With automation and continuous improvement as key priorities, this is a fast-paced environment where you’ll need to build as you go, lead through change, and keep the customer front and centre.
Ngā kawenga | Key responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing order processing team.
- Embed daily working rhythms and workload protocols to manage volume and continuity.
- Drive automation and process improvement across customer order flows.
- Monitor performance using key performance indicators for customer service and order cycle times.
- Champion first-contact resolution and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with internal teams and vendors to ensure seamless fulfilment.
- Use data and insights to guide decisions and identify opportunities.

You’re a proven operational leader with a passion for process, performance, and people. You don’t need rural experience — but you do need to be confident in managing complexity, leading change, and driving results.
You’ll bring:
- 5+ years’ experience in operational leadership, ideally in order fulfilment or customer service.
- Experience with D365 or similar ERP systems.
- Strong people leadership and coaching skills.
- A data-driven mindset with a focus on KPIs and continuous improvement.
- Experience in automation and AR/AP processes.
- Ability to build structure in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
