Ready to lead impactful learning in an organisation that genuinely values people development? Farmlands is on the lookout for a Learning & Development Lead to join our collaborative, values‑driven People & Safety team based at our Christchurch Support Office in Burnside.
In this role, you’ll take the reins on designing, delivering, and driving learning initiatives that grow capability across our nationwide Field Sales teams. You’ll partner closely with leaders, support strategic direction, and deliver learning experiences that stick. This role includes leadership of one direct report, providing support across training design and delivery.

You’re an experienced L&D practitioner who loves blending strategy with hands-on facilitation. One day you’re confidently engaging a room of 100+, the next you’re mapping future learning pathways or designing blended solutions that actually work in the real world.
You thrive in complex environments, bring sharp commercial thinking, and know how to bring people along for the journey. You’re curious, adaptable, and energised by creating learning cultures that uplift performance.
You’ll bring:
Extensive experience designing and delivering leadership and capability programmes at scale
Strength across a variety of learning methods – face to face, digital, experiential, and blended
A track record of building strong relationships and influencing effectively across an organisation
Ability to work with external vendors to enhance technical learning through deep technical knowledge and alignment with industry qualification frameworks
Experience in championing change and continuous improvement
A tertiary qualification in adult education
A growth mindset, resilience, and enthusiasm for doing things better than before
Desirable:
