Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
We're looking for more than just a driver.
We're looking for someone who enjoys being part of a great team, likes getting to know their customers, and takes pride in supporting the farmers, growers and rural businesses that keep Hawke's Bay thriving.
Based from our Hawke's Bay branch, you'll be out on the road delivering products across the region, helping customers in-store, supporting warehouse operations, and pitching in wherever needed. No two days are the same, and that's exactly how we like it.
You'll become a familiar face to many of our customers - someone they know they can rely on. Whether you're making a delivery, lending a hand in the yard, or helping a customer find what they need, you'll play an important role in the local rural community.
At Farmlands, we work hard, look out for each other, and enjoy what we do. If you're someone who values teamwork, enjoys connecting with people, and isn't afraid to get stuck in, you'll fit right in.
About the role:
Day to day you'll:
Deliver products safely and efficiently to customers across the region
Load, secure and unload a range of goods
Support warehouse operations and stock movements
Assist customers in-store when needed
Work closely with a team that values collaboration and getting stuck in
Help deliver the great service Farmlands is known for
What Matters Most:
You're a safe and capable driver, but just as importantly, you're someone who enjoys working with people and being part of a team.
You'll bring:
A Full Class 2 licence, Class F endorsement and a safe driving record
Recent experience operating Class 2 curtainsider vehicles
Proven experience loading, securing, transporting and unloading varied load profiles
Strong working knowledge of load restraint systems and load security practices
A solid understanding of NZ driver worktime rules, fatigue management and logbook requirements, with recent practical application
You'll also be someone who:
Enjoys building relationships with customers
Is community-minded and takes pride in supporting local farmers and growers
Rolls up their sleeves and helps wherever needed
Brings a positive, team-first attitude
Communicates well and genuinely enjoys working with people
Can work independently while remaining a valued member of the wider team
Dangerous Goods and OSH certifications are advantageous, but not essential. We'll happily support the right person to gain or refresh these qualifications.
Mō ngā painga | About the benefits
You'll be rewarded with:
Competitive pay and great staff discounts
Generous leave, including sick leave from Day 1 and your birthday off
Ongoing training and development
Shareholding opportunity with great partner perks through the Farmlands Card
Extra support for parents
