Join Farmlands' Integrated Planning team and take ownership of a diverse product portfolio supporting New Zealand's largest farming co-operative and one of the country's most extensive retail and distribution networks. Working across a broad product range, you'll help ensure product availability for customers nationwide while balancing inventory performance and customer needs.
This is an opportunity to move beyond day-to-day replenishment and play a key role in shaping supply decisions across the business. You'll work closely with teams across Merchandising, Sales, Logistics and Warehousing, influencing planning decisions and helping ensure our customers can access the products they need, when they need them.
Your work will help ensure farmers, growers and rural communities can access the products they need, while supporting strong inventory performance across our national network.
With exposure to a broad range of products, suppliers and stakeholders, you'll enjoy plenty of variety and genuine influence on supply decisions.
No two days are quite the same, with seasonal demand patterns, new product introductions and changing market conditions creating plenty of opportunity to solve problems and influence outcomes.
This role offers broad exposure across Supply Chain, Merchandising and Sales, making it an excellent opportunity for someone looking to take the next step in their planning career.
What you'll be doing:
Developing supply plans that optimise inventory investment while maintaining strong product availability
Managing inventory replenishment across our retail and distribution centre network
Using forecast information, sales insights and business intelligence to inform planning decisions
Building strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders to proactively manage supply risks and opportunities
Facilitating regular planning discussions to align supply priorities and actions across the business
Monitoring inventory, availability and supply performance, identifying opportunities for improvement
Supporting new product introductions and ongoing portfolio changes
Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across planning processes, systems and ways of working
Mōhou ake | About you
We're looking for an experienced supply chain professional with a strong understanding of inventory management, planning and replenishment processes. You'll be comfortable using data to make decisions, building relationships across the business, and balancing customer service, inventory, and commercial outcomes.
You'll likely bring:
Three plus years' of experience in supply planning, inventory management, purchasing, procurement or a related supply chain role
Strong analytical skills and confidence working with planning systems and Excel
The ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders across different teams
A proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement
Experience working with D365, Logility, Power BI or similar planning systems would be advantageous
You may currently be working as a Supply Planner, Inventory Planner, Demand Planner, Buyer or Procurement Specialist and be looking for your next challenge.
