About the opportunity | Mō te whai waahi
This is a hunter role, not an account manager role.
Farmlands has a strategic commercial development strategy for Card, and this role is how we deliver it. You will open new commercial relationships, convert existing vendor relationships into Card spend, and win business from councils, government agencies and buying groups. You will build your own pipeline, negotiate with senior decision-makers and carry each deal through to a signed agreement.
Responsibilities include:
Build and own a qualified pipeline across card partners, vendors, councils, government agencies, chambers of commerce and buying groups.
Sell the benefits of Farmlands Card and convert vendor relationships into Card spend.
Create partner purchasing opportunities, connecting partners’ needs with other Farmlands partners and with Farmlands.
Prepare tenders, RFPs and commercial proposals, and tailor offers for buying groups and large customers.
Negotiate commercial terms and manage each opportunity through to signed agreement.
Work with Credit, Finance, Legal and Customer Services so every new account is approved and set up to succeed.
