Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
We have a new role available as a Learning Solutions Architect in our Training & Development Team at Farmlands. Based at our Christchurch Support Office, the Learning Solutions Architect reports to the Head of Training and Development and serves as the go-to expert for all digital learning solutions.
In the role you'll:
- Collaborate closely with key stakeholders and training and development team to design, create and manage learning content and the online learning environment.
- Be responsible for development, authoring and review of online learning and the platforms on which they are hosted.
- Nurture relationships with internal SMEs and external digital learning partners to deliver high quality, effective training content through a user friendly and engaging online learning platform.
- Manage the LMS ensuring its seamless integration across teams and other IT systems.
- Design and deliver content according to established timelines, as well as continuously reviewing and revising existing content and platform requirements.
You'll support 1400+ specialists and individuals - each who log into our LMS to get something different out of it. Whether they are on the road, in a retail store, mill, or DC, or in our support office – there is huge opportunity for you to work with a range of stakeholders and cater for diverse learning needs.

We're looking for someone with extensive experience designing and developing digital learning content for audiences of varying levels of competency. You'll be competent digitally in content creation but also skilled in infrastructure and integration of LMS systems.
To be successful you'll need:
- Experience maintaining an LMS and digital learning resources
- Experience in leading the review and implementation of a new LMS
- Project management skills
- Knowledge of instructional design principles for e-learning
- Content development skills across a range of e-learning tools (e.g. Totara, Adobe Suite for Design, Articulate Rise and Storyline)
- Qualifications in adult learning, project management, or digital design.
