Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
We’re looking for a Finance Processing Manager to join our Corporate Finance team at Farmlands. In the role you’ll focus on business improvement and efficiencies, seeking every opportunity to utilise technology and automation, and collaborate cross-functionally to adopt holistic solutions.
Your day to day will involve:
- Mentoring your team leads
- Responsibility for ensuring shareholders receive accurate and timely statements
- Looking at processing volumes and how the team are utilised
- Checking with the automation team to ensure there are no glitches
- Solving escalated queries from Farmlands Card partners and vendors
- Identifying opportunities and implement improvement initiatives
- Project involvement
Finance at Farmlands is fast-paced, with great variety, complexity, and volume. In the role you’ll be able to harness the power of data with our best-in-class systems (D365, PowerBI) and utilise our internal Data Insights Team. Using dynamic, virtually real time data, you’ll also be able to look forward to the future. You’ll be well-resourced with a great core foundation to build on, and able to implement new initiatives in an organisation with appetite for improvements. And you won’t be alone as you do it.
You’ll be reporting to an inclusive and empowering Group Financial Controller and have the support of our broader Corporate Services team to collaborate with. You’ll also be leading and mentoring your own team of keen to progress and develop in their careers.

You’ll be focussed on metrics and improvements and be comfortable leveraging data analytics. With a growth mindset, you’ll thrive on coaching your team to success and have a strong drive to succeed.
Ideally, you’ll have a combination of Finance and Data Analytics experience and will have:
- Accounting experience in a medium-large corporate environment
- A strong technical accounting ability with knowledge of financial legislation, compliance requirements and practical application in a commercial context
- Knowledge of FinOps, PowerBI, D365, and SQL
- Ability or interest in building custom reports within PowerBI
- The ability to embrace and drive change in a transforming business
- Exceptional communication, influencing and interpersonal skills
- Proficient analysis and operational decision-making skills
