Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
We're looking for an accomplished Fleet Manager with a passion for the agricultural industry to join our team at Farmlands.
Reporting to the Head of Procurement, you'll be responsible for all aspects of fleet vehicle management including driving and implementing operational efficiencies, and continuous improvement for business planning and customer experience.
This exciting opportunity will cover our nationwide fleet of vehicles, trailers, forklifts and trucks. You'll get to own and manage the commercial fleet relationships with our manufacturers, suppliers and leasing partners and assist the Procurement Manager with supplier strategy.
The day to day also involves:
- Providing Fleet Visibility for performance and compliance against targets
- Executing Maintenance requests and compliance requirement
- Financial Management – budget preparation, monitoring and cost effectiveness in line with policies

We're looking for a collaborative Fleet Manager focussed on process implementation and with proven success in driving change.
You'll also need:
- Project management experience with a high level of analytical/decision making skills
- Cross-functional experience within a large complex commercial organization
- Significant supply fleet experience, preferably in a commercial, freight and distribution environment
- Experience in developing policies, practices, and systems with a view to business improvement
- Proven experience in the preparation, implementation and review of strategic business plans and budget
A tertiary degree in the business area is desirable.
