Mō te whai waahi | About the opportunity
We are looking for a Property Administrator to join our team on a permanent, full-time basis based in our Christchurch Support Office in Wairakei Road.
In the role you’ll support the National Property and Development Manager in the Property Portfolio, contributing to the accurate and efficient administration and coordination for Farmlands. You’ll work within a national portfolio of properties ensuring that leasing requirements, repairs, maintenance, health and safety, and compliance activities are all managed in an efficient way and up to date. You’ll also set up and manage assets in the asset management system and leases in Nomos One. The role oversees the Christchurch Support Office and organises consumables as necessary.
The day to day involves:
- Management of all Farmlands properties including retail branches and Support Offices
- Ensuring leases are up to date
- Raising purchase orders for property-related matters
- Assisting with property inspections, business cases, and reporting
- Liaising with contractors and ensuring property maintenance is cost effective
- Compliance – ensuring properties are complaint with regulations
- Assisting with preparing and lodging development applications and compliance certificates with council

To succeed you'll need to be a team player with initiative, flexibility and a can do attitude. You'll also need:
- At least two year’s property management experience
- An intermediate understanding of basic property accounting principles.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and a customer service focus
- Willingness to learn and get out visiting the store network as required
- Strong ability to prioritise under pressure, deal with the unexpected, and adapt to change
