We’re keen to hear from agri-professionals with resilience and a track record of successful business development in a cold sales environment.
In this new position as a Business Development Manager for Northland you'll report to the Head of Key Accounts and Strategic Partnerships and be primarily responsible for:
- Driving new business acquisition
- Growing market share and customer relationships and ensuring Farmlands maximises sales, margin and value
Location: This role can be based anywhere in the Northland region and a vehicle is provided as a tool of trade.

To be considered for this role, you’ll need to have:
- A proven track record of successful business development in a cold sales environment.
- A significant level of general business and business development experience, gained from within a B2B environment.
- Exceptional relationship management skills.
- Broad and deep understanding of the rural sector.
To succeed you’ll need to be a true hunter/gatherer and completely in your element in a cold sales environment. You’ll love the thrill of the chase, and have the drive, tenacity and sheer determination to achieve sustainable sales growth and increase market share in your area.
You'll be someone who can take rejection on the nose, change your tack, and win relationships with dogged perseverance.
