At Farmlands, we’re on a journey to transform how we plan, execute, and deliver value to our shareholders and customers. As our Annual Trading Calendar Lead, you’ll play a pivotal role in designing and embedding the framework that drives our commercial rhythm across the co-operative.
Reporting to the GM Integrated Planning, this role is all about bringing structure, visibility, and alignment to our go-to-market activities. You’ll lead the development and governance of our annual trading calendar, ensuring it connects seamlessly with our financial forecasts, campaign planning, and broader business strategy.
This is a high-impact role that requires strong cross-functional leadership, commercial acumen, and a knack for turning complexity into clarity.
Ngā kawenga | Key responsibilities
- Design and implement the Annual Trading Calendar Framework as a core part of Farmlands’ operating rhythm.
- Establish governance models that support medium- and long-term planning across Sales, Retail, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance.
- Lead the planning and execution of integrated campaigns, ensuring alignment with commercial objectives and critical path milestones.
- Develop reporting tools that provide visibility of performance and enable proactive decision-making.
- Foster collaboration across teams to ensure the calendar reflects business priorities and drives accountability.
The role is based in our Christchurch Support Office in Burnside.

You’re a seasoned project or program manager with a strong background in commercial planning, ideally in a multi-channel B2B/B2C environment. You thrive in cross-functional settings, bring people together around a shared plan, and know how to turn strategy into action.
You’ll bring:
- Proven experience leading complex planning frameworks or trading calendars.
- Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
- A commercial mindset with the ability to link planning to financial outcomes.
- Excellent communication and facilitation skills.
- Experience in the rural sector is a bonus, but not essential.
