From the first-ever newly opened Horticulture Hub in Hastings and a new Taranaki store opening mid-2025, at Farmlands we’re growing Horticulture.
Our Technical Advisors use their horticultural knowledge and expertise to build trusted relationships and recommend best solutions to our shareholders. Spending their days on the road visiting growers across the region, our team of Technical Advisors provide a vital service as the face of Farmlands - so we need people who believe in what we do and the service we have been providing for more than 60 years.
We’re keen to hear from you if you’re interested in becoming a future Technical Advisor in the Bay of Plenty region. With stores in Te Puna, Tauranga, Te Puke, Whakatane, Opotiki, Rotorua, Putaruru, Tokoroa and Taupo – our Technical Advisors are based throughout the area.
Mōhou ake | About you
We're looking for future Technical Advisors who are Horticultural all-rounders. You'll be able to connect with our shareholders, be confident giving technical advice, and be focussed on solution-selling.
Key to success is:
- A strong sales track record or a sales-focussed mindset
- Account management skills and the ability to build long lasting relationships
- Technical knowledge including crop production, crop nutrition and soil science
- Knowledge of key regional crops - Kiwifruit, Avocado, Blueberries
We're open to those already in the industry, those with a strong sales and business development background, and horticulture graduates.
